How to Claim HRDF (HRD Corp) Training Grants Online

If your company is contributing to HRD Corp (formerly HRDF), you can claim training costs through their e-TRiS portal. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to claim HRDC for employee training:
 

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Before applying, ensure that:
Your company is registered and contributing to HRD Corp.
The training is HRD Corp-claimable under SBL-Khas Scheme or other approved schemes.
The training provider is registered with HRD Corp.
The course is relevant to employee development.


Step 2: Apply for Training Grant on e-TRiS (Before Training Starts)

1 Log in to e-TRiS Portalhttps://e-tris.hrdcorp.gov.my
2 Click on ''Apply Grant'' and select the correct training scheme (e.g., SBL-Khas).
3 Enter training details:

  • Training title & objectives

  • Training date & duration

  • Number of participants

  • Registered training provider details

  • Cost breakdown (fees, meal, travel, accommodation)
    4 Upload supporting documents:
    Training proposal/quotation
    Company bank details
    List of employees attending
    Any pre-training approvals (if required)
    5 Submit for approval (HRD Corp usually reviews within 5-7 working days).


Step 3: Conduct the Training

  • Ensure attendance is recorded (HRD Corp requires proof).

  • Keep receipts, invoices, and training photos for documentation.


Step 4: Submit a Claim (After Training is Completed)

1 Log in to e-TRiS Portal and select ''Claim Submission.''
2 Upload required documents:
Invoice & receipt from the training provider
Attendance record (signed by participants & trainer)
Post-training evaluation form
Proof of payment (Resit)
3 Submit the claim. HRD Corp will process the claim .


Step 5: Receive Reimbursement

  • Once approved, HRD Corp will disburse the funds directly to the company’s bank account.

  • Check claim status in the e-TRiS portal.


Additional Notes

Max claimable amount depends on HRD Corp’s latest rates (e.g., RM10,500/day for in-house training).
If travel & meal allowances apply, include them in the claim.
Claims must be submitted within 6 months after training completion.
